Unknown source. Facsimile version from the New Brunswick Free Public Library Archive.

February 27, 1837

In this letter, prominent abolitionist William Still writes about his brother, Peter Still, a newly freed man living in New Jersey, and his efforts to reunite with this family, who he hadn’t seen in decades. Some records suggest that members of the Still family were born in New Jersey.
