The New Brunswick branch of the NAACP sponsored a banquet on May 13, 1976 for three men from Middlesex County. Charles E. Williams, Harold R. Sims, and Mack E. Williams were recognized for their dedication to humanity and outstanding achievements. Roy Wilkins, executive director of the NAACP, was to be the guest speaker. The banquet was to be held at the Flagpost Inn in South Brunswick.
